What an honor it is to have Anguilla Tennis Academy join the Tennis Locker family! We’ve been so inspired by their dedication, their mission, and their incredible story.
Mitchelle Lake, founder and director of the Anguilla Tennis Academy, is an exceptional coach and person. He is so devoted to his community and his beautiful island, located in the northern Caribbean. Lake said, “My life is what it is today because of tennis. All I want to do now is give back so that other young people can have experiences like mine. The Anguilla Tennis Academy is my lifelong dream. I am proud of the children and other Anguillians for supporting me in this worthwhile endeavor. The cause is greater than the cost. For that reason, this project must be done.”
He started ATA in 1996 as a nonprofit with only two public courts. Since then, it has now grown into a state of the art tennis facility that has seen over 4,000 participants benefit from it. Because Anguilla has no university of its own, ATA aims to provide its graduates with an opportunity to pursue a college education through its generous scholarship program.
Big thanks to Academy Director Tristin Rogers for trusting Tennis Locker to be their player development and academy management tool. We could not be more proud to be part of such a noble program!
